The wxrks Editor is where translation and review work actually happens: a segment-by-segment workspace with a top bar for file info and delivery actions, a side menu for comments, suggestions, QA, and reference material, and the segment list itself, where you read the source and write or revise the translation.

This article covers the parts of the Editor that are common to every task — the top bar, the icons that open its side panels, and the anatomy of a segment. 💡 Who is this for? This guide is for anyone who opens a task in the wxrks Editor — Vendors translating or reviewing content, as well as Project Managers and Account Admins checking on a file. A few things described here (like the Feedback button) are permission- and setting-gated, so you may not see every element in every project.

From a project's Tasks tab, click a file's name — labeled Open in Editor when you hover it — to open that task in the Editor. It opens in a new browser tab or popup window, so your project view stays open in the background.

The top bar carries the file's identity and the actions that move a task forward.

On a review-step task, a Feedback button can appear next to Deliver Task once every task in the delivery is delivered or pending confirmation. It opens a form to rate and comment on the work of the vendor from the previous workflow step, per task or with one score for the whole batch.

This button is controlled by a setting actually called Reviewer Feedback — not "Feedback Button" or "General Feedback," names an earlier version of this article used. It has to be turned on in two places for the button to show up: the Reviewer Feedback toggle at the account level, and the equivalent setting on the Organizational Unit used by the project. If either is off, the button won't appear. It also never appears on a plain Translation-step task, since feedback always flows from a reviewer back to whoever worked the step before them.

Below the top bar is the segment list — the file broken into individual translatable units.

A few other things you'll notice in the list: each segment shows a character count for both source and translation, a confirm/unconfirm icon whose exact appearance depends on the workflow step (a review step shows a distinct "Reviewed" state — see How to review in wxrks for what's different there), and, on repeated content, a small repetition icon in the corner. Repetitions only copy a translation from the first occurrence downward, never the other way.
