Index

1. Initial PM Configuration

Before a PM can log hours, you must configure their payment settings.

Setting Hourly Rate and Currency

  1. Open the PM’s user profile

  2. Navigate to Billing & Languages

  3. Define:

    • Hourly Rate

    • Currency

This ensures that worked hours are aligned with the correct financial settings.

2. How Project and Currency Synchronization Works

Once configured:

  • All projects assigned to the PM automatically sync with the Timesheet.

  • The system considers:

    • The PM’s configured currency

    • The project’s defined currency

This guarantees consistency in financial calculations and reporting.

3. Viewing PM Timesheet Records

Account Admins have access to:

  • The work logs of all PMs within the account

  • Weekly timesheet entries

  • Billable and non-billable distinctions

This provides full operational visibility.

4. Filtering and Monitoring Entries

You can use filters to refine timesheet data by:

  • Type

  • Org. Unit

  • Project

  • Task

  • Billable status

This helps monitor project allocation and financial impact more effectively.

5. Exporting Timesheet Data

To export records:

  1. Access the Timesheet section

  2. Click Export

  3. The system will generate an .xlsx file

The exported file can be used for:

  • Payment processing

  • Internal financial control

  • Accounting reconciliation

  • Reporting and auditing

6. Using Timesheet Data for Payment Processing

Once PMs save their entries:

  • You can review all logged hours

  • Identify billable versus non-billable time

  • Export data to support payment workflows

7. Monitoring Project Profitability Based on PM Time

You can track the Profitability Margin related to the time invested by a Project Manager directly within a specific project. This allows for a real-time comparison between the project's financial health and the administrative costs of management.

Requirements for Visibility:

  • The Project Manager must have already submitted their hours for that specific project.

  • Your user profile must have the following two permissions enabled:

    1. Project -> Profitability Margin

    2. Timesheet -> View Timesheet Profitability

How to Access the Margin Data:

  1. Open the desired Project.

  2. Navigate to the Tasks tab.

  3. Locate the Profitability Margin section.

In this view, wxrks calculates the margin by factoring in the PM's hourly rate against the project's total value, providing a clear picture of how management time impacts the overall project profitability.
