How to export Quality Reports to Excel, one at a time or in bulk

Export a Quality Report as an Excel (XLSX) file that keeps the reviewer's tracked changes. Insertions appear in green and deletions in red strikethrough, so you can send a client the full review trail without screenshots or PDFs. You can export one report from its own page, or select up to 50 reports and download them together as a single zip file.

Who is this for? Project Managers and Account Admins who deliver review evidence to clients. Vendors can export too, but only reports on their own work (see the Note for Vendors under Export several reports at once).

Permissions: You need the Quality Reports permission to open Quality > Reports. It's on by default for the Account Admin, Project Manager, and Vendor roles. The Quality menu itself appears only to users with List Work Unit Reviews. Account Admins can check both under People > Users > [User] > Permissions. See All about wxrks roles.

A Quality Report brings together every review step's changes for one file and target language. If you're new to the Quality section, start with All about Quality & Review in wxrks.

Export a single report

  1. In the sidebar, go to Quality > Reports.

  2. Click a report's project reference to open its Full Quality Report.

  3. Click Actions.

  4. Click Export Quality Report.

Full Quality Report page with the Actions button marked as step 3 and the Export Quality Report option in its dropdown marked as step 4, both outlined in red in the upper right.

  1. In the Export Quality Report window, leave XLSX selected and click Download.

The button shows Downloading while wxrks builds the file, which can take a few minutes for large files. When the file is ready, your browser downloads it automatically. Keep the window open until then.

The file name tells you which report it is: the file name, the project code, the language pair, and the export date, separated by underscores. For example, qa-wxrks-bw8192-guide_B-26267-74313-E5F6_en_us-pt_br_2026-10-02.xlsx.

Export several reports at once

Use bulk export to put together a whole delivery, such as every file of a project, in a single download.

  1. Go to Quality > Reports. If you need to, use the filters to narrow the list down to the reports you want.

  2. Tick the checkbox at the start of each report you want to export. To select every report on the current page at once, tick the checkbox in the table header.

  3. Click Export selected in the bar that appears above the list.

Reports list with three rows ticked, outlined in red as step 2, and the selection bar above the table reading "3 selected", "Up to 50 reports per export.", Clear selection, and the Export selected button outlined in red as step 3.

The bar shows how many reports you've selected. Your selection stays in place as you move between pages, so you can pick reports from several pages and export them together. To start over, click Clear selection.

  1. In the Export Quality Report window, which shows the number of selected reports next to its heading, click Download.

Export Quality Report window opened from the Reports list, with a count badge of 3 next to the Download Work Report heading and the Download button outlined in red as step 4.

wxrks puts one XLSX file per report into a zip file named quality-reports-<export date>.zip and downloads it when it's ready. Each file inside has the same name, and the same content, as it would have if you exported that report on its own. If two reports would produce the same file name, the second one gets a number added, such as (2). Your selection is cleared once the download starts.

ℹ️ Note: 50 reports per export. After you select 50 reports, the bar shows Limit of 50 reports per export reached and any further reports you tick aren't added. Ticking the header checkbox also stops adding reports once you reach 50. Export those 50, then select the next batch.

ℹ️ Note for Vendors: Vendors see only the reports for work they took part in, under Quality > Reports, and can export those reports the same way. Project Managers and Account Admins see the reports for the Organizational Units they have access to. An Organizational Unit is a client or department that projects are grouped under.

⚠️ If the export fails: If you no longer have access to even one of the selected reports, the whole bulk export stops and an error message appears. This is deliberate, so you never send a client an incomplete package without knowing it. Clear the selection, refresh the list, and select the reports again.

How to read the exported file

Single and bulk exports produce the same file layout. Each file has two tabs.

Summary tab

The Summary tab is the report's cover page:

  • Report: project, project reference, Organizational Unit, file, languages, the review steps (workflows) included, the date of the first revision, and the export date.

  • What changed: segments in the file, segments changed, segments unchanged, and the average match.

  • Changes by category: how many changes fall under each change category, such as Grammar or Fluency.

  • How to read the Changes tab: a color legend.

The totals on this tab include every review step in the report, not only the last one.

Summary tab of an exported Quality Report, showing the Report details on the left, the What changed totals and Changes by category counts on the right, and the How to read the Changes tab legend with green underlined added text and red strikethrough removed text.

Changes tab

The Changes tab has one row per segment. The header row stays fixed while you scroll, and each column has a filter.

Column

What it contains

Segment in editor

The segment number, the same one shown in the Editor, so you can find the segment there.

Source

The source text.

[Workflow] (before)

The text this review step received from the previous step.

[Workflow] (tracked)

The changes this step made. Green underlined text was added, red strikethrough text was removed, and plain text didn't change.

[Workflow] (final)

The text this step handed on.

[Workflow] (category)

The change category recorded for this segment.

[Workflow] (match %)

How similar the final text is to the before text. 100% means no change.

Reviewer comment

The comment left on the segment in the last review step.

The five [Workflow] columns repeat for every review step after translation, labeled with the step's name, for example REVIEW (before) and REVIEW (tracked). Each step's final text matches the next step's before text. This repetition is deliberate: it shows exactly what each step received and what it returned.

The REVIEW (tracked) column of the Changes tab, showing four Portuguese segments where removed words such as "conectado" and "Não" are in red strikethrough and their replacements "ligado" and "Nunca" are in green underline.

💡 Tip: The colors are stored inside the spreadsheet cells, so they appear in any spreadsheet application, including for right-to-left scripts such as Arabic and for Chinese, Japanese, and Korean text.

⚠️ The file layout changed. Files exported before this update had a single tab with different columns. If you or your clients use macros, formulas, or imports based on the old column positions, update them for the new Summary and Changes layout.
