The Vendor's Portal is the view of wxrks that a Vendor — a linguist, reviewer, or other language professional — sees after logging in: a scoped-down set of screens for finding work, translating it, and getting paid, with no access to the account-wide settings a Project Manager or Account Admin would see. This article is a tab-by-tab reference to every screen in that view.
💡 Who is this for? This guide is for Vendor who needs to look up any tab, screen, or setting in their view of wxrks.
Where this fits
If you're brand new and just need to get your first task translated and delivered, start with Vendor's Quick Guide instead — it's the fast path. Come back here afterward whenever you need to look up a specific tab or setting in detail.
The side menu
Everything in your view is reachable from the side menu: Home, Projects, Finance, Quality, and Tools. A Documentation section below that holds quick links, and the bottom of the menu holds your interface language and color scheme.
Tools lists any third-party integrations your agency has connected for you to use directly (this varies by account, so it may be empty). The wxrks Translation Portal — a separate quick-translate tool covered in its own article — also lives under Tools, but only for Account Admin; it isn't part of the Vendor view.
Home
Home is what you land on after logging in. Across the top, it shows how many projects you have to complete and, if you're eligible for any, a preview of tasks you could claim, with Preview, Reject, and I Want it! actions right there. Below that sits a row of tabs for your actual work.
Dynamic Feed
The tab Home opens on by default. This is where messages from your Project Managers and other stakeholders show up — worth checking regularly, since it's also how you'd hear about a delayed project needing your attention (as in the screenshot above).
My Projects
Everything already assigned to you, ready to work on or waiting on an earlier workflow step to finish. Search by project name, sort by due date/tasks/workflow/language, and expand a project to see its individual tasks.
Expanding a project reveals its tasks and an action bar above them:
Join in Editor — select two or more tasks from the same project to open them together in one Editor session instead of switching back and forth.
Confirm All Segments and Delivery All Tasks — bulk-confirm or bulk-deliver selected tasks without opening the Editor, each gated behind its own permission (Confirm All Segments (Outside Editor) and Bulk Delivery Tasks (Outside Editor)) — ask your Project Manager if you don't see one.
Reject Assignment — unassigns you from a task you no longer want. Only appears if your role has the Reject Assignment permission, and it's permanent: rejecting removes your access to that task.
Import/Export — appears per-task if you have file export/import permission, letting you export XLIFF/XLSX/TMX or import a translated XLIFF back in. See How to Import/Export XLIFF files for Vendors for the full walkthrough.
The vertical ellipsis (⋮) on a task opens it in the Editor, or shows its details, Confirm All, Reject Assignment, and Import individually.
Each task row also shows its own status (Ready/Not Ready), due date, progress (percentage of confirmed segments), and payable amount for that task.
Pending Acceptance
If your agency has Pending Acceptance turned on, a new assignment doesn't land directly in My Projects — it waits here until you explicitly accept or reject it (individually or in bulk), with an optional reason you can leave for the Project Manager on a rejection. If your account doesn't use this setting, assigned tasks go straight to My Projects and you won't see this tab at all.
Available Projects
Unassigned tasks you're eligible to self-claim through Auto Task Placement, if your agency uses it. Select what you want and claim it — no need to wait for a Project Manager to assign it to you. See How to use the Auto Task Placement feature for exactly how you become eligible for a given task and how claiming works.
Delivered, Invoiced, and Not Invoiced Tasks
Three tabs track a task after you've finished with it:
Delivered Tasks — everything you've already delivered, with the estimated payable amount and whether each was on time or late. You can still open a delivered task in the Editor to review it, but it's read-only.
Invoiced Tasks — delivered tasks that have been included in a payable.
Not Invoiced Tasks — delivered tasks that were closed with no amount to pay, so they will never be included in a payable.
A payable isn't generated the moment you deliver. A Project Manager triggers payable generation on whatever cadence their company uses, so your delivered work waits in Delivered Tasks until that run happens. What the run does with each task depends on its payable amount:
If the task has an amount to pay, it moves to Invoiced Tasks and is included in a payable.
If the task's payable amount is zero or empty, it moves to Not Invoiced Tasks instead, and carries the Not Invoiced status from then on. No payable is created for it, so you won't get a payable notification for it either.
⚠️ Not Invoiced is final as far as invoicing goes. A task in this tab won't move on to Invoiced Tasks later and won't be picked up by a future payable run. The tab exists so that work that was never going to be paid stops accumulating in Delivered Tasks.
Because nothing here is payable, this tab doesn't show the estimated amount you'll receive the way Delivered Tasks does. The tasks stay open for reference and are read-only, like delivered ones.
A task usually lands here for one of two reasons: it genuinely carries no cost — for example, a Project Manager assigned you to an already-delivered task so you'd have the full context of the job — or its payable amount was never set, typically because no rate was configured for you on that task. If a task you expected to be paid for turns up in Not Invoiced Tasks, contact your Project Manager. They can review the task's payment details and move it back out of this status so the next payable run picks it up.
See Finance: Payables below for where to actually check what you're owed.
Projects: Tasks
The Projects menu's Tasks page lists every task you've ever been assigned, across every project — a broader, more filterable view than Home's tabs. Alongside each task's normal status, it flags a date status: On Schedule, Delayed, or No Due Date for open tasks, and Delivered on time or Late delivery once it's done.
⚠️ Punctuality here feeds into your quality metrics as a linguist, which can in turn affect your eligibility for Auto Task Placement.
Filter by name, assignee, file, status, creation date, due date, Organizational Unit, Organization, or workflow, and save any combination as a reusable filter.
Finance: Payables
If your agency pays you through wxrks, Finance > Payables is where you check what you're owed.
⚠️ Payables that are already settled aren't shown by default — you need to apply that status filter yourself to see them.
Opening a payable shows the projects and individual task amounts it covers, the payment method, and — depending on your agency's process — a place to upload a supporting document such as a receipt.
Quality: Reviews and Reports
Both tabs summarize changes made to your work by a reviewer, at different levels of detail.
Reviews
One review per workflow step: project reference, status, workflow step, language pair, and the percentage of segments changed, without opening it. Open a review to see the exact change in each segment, its category, and whether the review itself is Pending or Finished.
Reports
The same idea rolled up across every workflow step a file went through, not just one — useful for seeing the full editing history of a file from first translation to final approval.
For what each change category (Fluency, Terminology, Incorrect translation, Grammar, and the two Preferential change categories) actually means, see Translation changes categories in wxrks.
Basics
Under Documentation > Basics in the side menu, you'll find quick links to the Help Center, API Documentation, and Updates.
Languages and Color Scheme
At the bottom of the side menu, the Languages dropdown switches wxrks' own interface between eight languages (English, Español, Português, Français, Deutsch, 中文, 日本語, and русский), and the Light/Dark buttons switch your color scheme. Both are personal preferences, saved to your account.
Profile
Click your avatar in the top-right corner to reach your profile, organized into tabs:
General, Location and Address — your basic contact details.
Change Email — updates the address you log in with; depending on your permissions, you may need to ask Support to do this for you instead.
Languages — a read-only list of the source/target language pairs you're set up to work in. Your Project Manager (or another authorized user at your agency) updates these and your rates for you.
Payment Information — your billing details for getting paid.
Agreements — any contracts or policy updates you've accepted while using wxrks, with the date you accepted each one.
Notifications — includes the option to get emailed when new tasks become available; see How to use the Auto Task Placement feature for how to set a schedule.
Attachments — files attached to your own user record (agency-specific documents, for example).
Your Languages tab, for reference, shows your qualified pairs as tags:
Security
Change your password, or turn on multi-factor authentication (MFA) for an extra layer of login security. See How to enable your MFA (multifactor authentication) for the setup steps.
