Fix Tags is one of wxrks's AI-powered Augmented Actions in the Editor. When your translation's tags don't line up with the source's — one is missing, one is extra, or they're in the wrong order or position — Fix Tags asks wxrks's AI to reinsert the segment's tags for you, without you having to drag each one into place by hand.

Fix Tags is a genuine AI action — the same kind of Augmented Actions infrastructure behind Context Sensitive Translate, Alternative Suggestion, and Proofread — not a fixed rule that simply reshuffles your translation's existing tags. When you run it, wxrks strips your translation down to its plain text, then asks the AI to reinsert every tag from the source text at the position it judges to be the correct, semantically equivalent spot in your translation.

Because it rebuilds the whole tag set from the source rather than patching individual tags, Fix Tags can address several kinds of mismatch in a single pass: a tag missing from the target, an extra tag the source doesn't have, tags in the wrong order, or a tag sitting in the wrong position relative to the surrounding words. You don't need to tell it which kind of mismatch it's looking at — it re-derives the full tag placement every time it runs.

wxrks shows a brief "Augmented Actions is running..." state on the button while it works. Fix Tags is grayed out if the segment's source text has no tags at all — there's nothing for it to reinsert.

Fix Tags doesn't flag a mismatch it's unsure about, and it doesn't show an error message if something goes wrong — it either applies a fix or silently leaves your translation as it was. If you run it and nothing appears to change, check your translation's tags against the source; if the mismatch is still there, fix it manually (see How to handle tags) or try running Fix Tags again.

Fix Tags is the automated alternative: instead of you dragging tags one at a time or repositioning what the shortcut appends, wxrks's AI places the whole tag set for you in one step. It's the faster option when it's available for a segment, but the manual methods still work in every case — including when Fix Tags is unavailable (see Availability below) or when you'd rather double-check tag placement yourself.

Fix Tags shares the same on/off switches as wxrks's other Augmented Actions:

See wxrks Augmented Actions for where each of these toggles lives. Even with all three on, the Augmented Actions button (and Fix Tags with it) only appears on a segment that's currently selected and not locked.

The Augmented Actions button doesn't appear on my segment. Confirm the segment is selected (click into it) and isn't locked — a locked segment (padlock icon in its left gutter) hides the whole Augmented Actions menu. Also confirm Augmented Actions is enabled at the account and Organizational Unit level; see Availability above.

Fix Tags is grayed out in the menu. The segment's source text has no tags — there's nothing for Fix Tags to reinsert.
