1. Introduction
The project's Translation Settings will initially mirror the settings configured at the Organizational Unit level. However, it is feasible to modify them after the project has been approved.
It's crucial to acknowledge that certain changes may not apply retroactively. Therefore, it's advisable to review these configurations before approving your project to ensure they align with your requirements.
Here is our default template, which is applied to every newly created Organizational Unit. These configurations are inherited by the projects.
2. Project's Translation Settings
2.1 General
Translate empty segments only: When activated, translations will be processed only for the empty segments.
⚠️ This option can be deactivated if segments were inadvertently filled using an incorrect auto-translation method.
Translate not confirmed segments only: When activated, translations will only apply to segments that are yet to be confirmed.
Complete task once all segments are confirmed:If selected, the task will be automatically delivered when all segments are confirmed via auto-translation. Manual confirmation will not trigger automatic delivery.
Complete all subsequent tasks upon task delivery: This option operates only when the previous setting is enabled. It allows the platform to deliver all tasks that were totally completed (100%) during the auto-translation process.
Show Machine Translation suggestion in Editor: Enabling this feature allows machine translation suggestions to appear in the Suggestions tab, even if the segments weren't auto-translated by MT.
Show Translation Memory suggestion with fixed tags: When enabled, a best-attempt tag correction will be applied to TM suggestions — including 100% and 101% matches. This helps ensure that tag placement in suggestions aligns more closely with the target segment’s structure, reducing the need for manual adjustment.
Penalty for multiple 100% matches: This option imposes a penalty when multiple 100% matches occur, reducing their match based on the set threshold.
2.2 Auto Translate From
Context Sensitive: When activated, the project undergoes translation through our AI integration.
Machine Translation: when enabled, the project will utilize Machine Translation to process the auto-translation
Translation Memory: Activation of this feature allows the project to access the Translation Memory for auto-translation. Segments with matches higher than the specified percentage in the Threshold will automatically populate the target.
⚠️ Note that if the three options are enabled, the platform will follow this order of prioritization: Context Sensitive, Translation Memory and Machine Translation.
Translation Memory with fixed tags: When enabled, a best-attempt tag correction will be applied during pre-translation — including on 100% and 101% matches. This ensures that segments automatically filled from the Translation Memory have more accurate tag placement, reducing the need for post-editing.
2.3 Segments
Prioritize TM matches over Context Sensitive translation: When this feature is active, wxrks will prioritize matches from the Translation Memory over Context Sensitive translations, provided they meet the defined minimum TM Match threshold.
Auto confirm pre-translated segments: Enabling this setting ensures that any segments pre-translated by the system during the project setup phase are automatically confirmed without requiring manual reviewer intervention.
Confirm segments with a 100% match: Upon activation, segments displaying a 100% match will be confirmed automatically.
Confirm segments with a 101% match: When enabled, segments featuring a 101% match will be confirmed automatically.
Lock segments with a 100% match: Enabling this option will automatically lock segments with a 100% match.
Lock segments with a 101% match: When enabled, segments with a 101% match will be automatically locked.
2.4 Unlock options
Unlock segments with numbers: Enabling this option prevents segments containing numbers from automatic locking.
Unlock segments with special characters: When enabled, segments containing special characters won't be automatically locked.
Unlock segments with numbers and special characters: Activating this option prevents segments containing both numbers and special characters from automatic locking.
2.5 Mismatch Warnings
Ignore the Glossary mismatch Warnings: Activating this option will prevent the editor from displaying warnings related to glossary mismatches.
Ignore the Tags mismatch Warnings: Enabling this feature will prevent the editor from displaying warnings for tag mismatches.
⚠️ These warnings would appear prior to segment confirmation and are distinct from those generated by the QA Check feature.
