Accessibility Policy

wxrks Version 1.0

1. Our Commitment: The Accessibility-First Philosophy

At wxrks, we believe that global communication is only truly "global" if it is inclusive of everyone. Our "Accessibility-First" philosophy ensures that our technology serves the human being, regardless of their physical or cognitive abilities.

We are committed to providing a platform that is perceivable, operable, understandable, and robust for all users, including those utilizing assistive technologies. This commitment is an essential component of our Human-Centric Trinity.

2. Standards and Scope

wxrks targets and maintains compliance with the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1 Level AA as our primary benchmark for digital inclusion.

  • Platform Scope: This policy applies to all user-facing interfaces of the wxrks platform, including the Computer-Assisted Translation (CAT) tool, the Customer Portal, and the Vendor Management System.

3. Technical Implementation and Verification

To move beyond mere "checked boxes," we integrate accessibility into our structural CI/CD pipeline:

  • Automated Testing: We utilize automated accessibility linting tools during the development phase to identify and remediate potential barriers (such as missing alt-text, improper contrast ratios, or broken ARIA labels) before code is deployed.

  • Manual Audits: We conduct periodic manual accessibility audits of our Easy End User Interface (EUI) components. These audits focus on keyboard navigation, focus management, and screen reader compatibility.

  • Progressive Enhancement: We utilize semantic HTML and modern CSS to ensure that our platform remains functional across a wide range of devices and browser configurations.

4. Governance and Responsibility

Accessibility is not just a technical task; it is a governance requirement overseen by the wxrks Product Committee.

  • Managerial Oversight: The Steering Committee ensures that our product roadmap prioritizes accessibility improvements alongside functional features.

  • Training: We ensure that our design and development teams receive regular updates on evolving accessibility standards and "Inclusive Design" principles.

5. Feedback and Remediation

Consistent with our value of Open Communication, we maintain a direct line for users to report accessibility barriers.

  • Reporting: Users who encounter an accessibility challenge can report it directly to our Support Team or escalate it to the Well-being Steering Committee.

  • Remediation: We treat accessibility barriers very seriously. Once a barrier is confirmed, it is integrated into our development cycles, ensuring that every fix is thoroughly tested and deployed to provide a more inclusive experience for all users.

6. Continuous Improvement

Accessibility is a journey, not a destination. wxrks commits to reviewing this policy annually and adjusting our technical standards as new versions of the WCAG (e.g., WCAG 2.2 or 3.0) reach industry maturity.
