Human Rights and Labor Rights Policy

wxrks Version 1.0

1. Our Fundamental Commitment

At wxrks, our operations are founded on the belief that human rights are universal and that the "Human Being" is the most vital element of our organization. We are committed to fostering a global workspace that respects the dignity, freedom, and rights of every individual.

Our approach to labor rights is governed by a unique combination of Trust, Open Communication, and Structure. We align our operations with the United Nations Guiding Principles on Business and Human Rights and the International Labour Organization (ILO) Declaration on Fundamental Principles and Rights at Work.

2. Prohibition of Forced Labor and Modern Slavery

wxrks maintains a strict zero-tolerance policy toward all forms of forced labor, debt bondage, and modern slavery.

  • Voluntary Employment: All work performed at wxrks is voluntary. We do not withhold identification documents or use any form of coercion to retain talent.

  • Remote-First Verification: As a 100% virtual organization, we utilize rigorous, multi-factor identity and age verification during our onboarding process to ensure all team members are of legal working age and are entering into employment of their own free will.

3. Child Labor Prevention

We prohibit the use of child labor in any part of our operations. wxrks adheres strictly to the minimum age requirements set by local laws and the ILO Convention No. 138. Our recruitment structure is designed to proactively identify and prevent any instance of underage labor within our global remote network.

4. Diversity, Equity, and Non-Discrimination

We believe that a person’s value is defined by their contribution, not their identity.

  • Identity-Blind Meritocracy: Our vendor and talent management systems are designed to be "identity-blind," focusing on quality and performance. This naturally eliminates bias related to race, gender, religion, age, disability, or sexual orientation.

  • Zero Tolerance for Harassment: We maintain a workspace free from physical, verbal, or psychological harassment. We promote an environment where diversity of thought is protected by our core value of Trust.

5. Open Communication and Remediation

The protection of human rights is only possible through radical transparency. We ensure that every team member has ample and direct access to express concerns or report rights violations.

  • Accessible Management: Every individual has an open line of communication to their direct manager, their manager’s manager (skip-level), and the HR department.

  • Whistleblowing and Protection: We provide clear channels for the reporting of grievances. wxrks guarantees that no individual will face retaliation for raising a legitimate concern regarding labor rights or unethical practices.

6. Fair Compensation and Working Hours

We respect the human need for a life outside of work.

  • Anti "Always-On" Culture: We do not value or reward an "always-on" mentality. We respect the "Right to Disconnect," ensuring that when our team members are off, they are fully disconnected from work responsibilities.

  • Legitimate Needs: We respect time-off requests as legitimate human needs. We ensure our compensation structures meet or exceed local legal requirements, providing for a fair and equitable livelihood.
