Export a Translation Memory (TM) to a file you can inspect, back up, or bring into another CAT tool or TMS. wxrks builds two export formats and several ways to scope what goes into the file — the whole TM, a language- or date-filtered subset, or just a handful of segments you pick by hand.

Open the Export dialog
Open the TM you want to export — see All about Translation Memories for how to find and open one — then click Actions and select Export.
This opens the Export TM dialog, starting from its default scope: every segment, in every language, as a TMX file — the standard translation-memory exchange format most CAT tools and TMS platforms accept.
Switch Type to XLSX if you'd rather work with the export as a spreadsheet — for example to review or bulk-edit the content outside wxrks.
The sections below cover the ways to narrow an export down instead of taking the whole TM.
Export only specific languages
Choose SELECTED under Languages to limit the file to particular languages instead of all of them. Source Language is fixed to the TM's own source language; use Target Language to add or remove which of the TM's target languages to include.
Any language you leave out of Target Language is skipped, which is the easiest way to keep the export small on a TM with many target languages.
Export only a date range
Click More Options to reveal a Created/Modified date range. This filters the export to segments created or modified within that window — useful for pulling only what changed recently, without re-exporting the whole TM.
This date range only applies to a full-TM export — it isn't available when exporting a hand-picked selection of segments (see below), since you've already chosen exactly what to include.
Export only selected segments
To export a specific handful of segments instead of a language or date scope, find them first in the TM's own content search — see How to use the Translation Memory search if you need help narrowing the results down. Then check the box next to each segment you want. A selection bar appears with an Export selected button:
This opens the same Export TM dialog, still with a choice of TMX/XLSX and a language filter, but scoped to only the segments you checked. The date range isn't offered here, since a hand-picked selection is already an exact scope.
⚠️ The content table's own "select all" checkbox behaves differently depending on the search mode you're using. In Full Text Search, it selects every matching segment across the whole search — up to a cap of 5,000 — and shows a warning if the search matched more than that. In Fuzzy Search or Contains Search, it only selects the segments currently loaded on the page, not the full result set. Either way, for an export of the entire TM, use Actions > Export from the top of the page (covered above) instead of relying on "select all" here.
Download the file
Click Download to start the export. wxrks builds the file as a background job — this can take anywhere from a few seconds to a few minutes depending on how many segments are included — and downloads it automatically as soon as it's ready, named after the TM.
⚠️ Because the download can start a little while after you click Download, some browsers treat it as an unexpected pop-up and block it. If nothing downloads, check your browser's pop-up-blocker notification and allow pop-ups from wxrks, then check your browser's Downloads settings if the file still doesn't show up in the folder you expected.
