The Projects list is where every project visible to your user lives, with a full filter panel for narrowing it down by name, client, status, dates, assigned Project Manager, tags, and more. This article covers that full filter panel on the Projects page itself. If you only need the lighter deadline and assignment filters on the Home dashboard's own Projects tab, see Project Manager Dashboard instead.
💡 Who is this for? This guide is for Account Admins and Project Managers who need to search and filter the wxrks Projects list to quickly find specific jobs within the wxrks platform.
Opening the Projects list
Click Projects in the left sidebar to see every project visible to your user.
Tip: if a project you expect to see isn't in the list, this is usually a permissions issue rather than the project not existing — which projects you can see depends on your role and your Organizational Unit assignment. Ask your Account Admin to check your access if a project seems to be missing.
Quick search: filter without opening the panel
Next to the funnel icon is a small search box for fast, one-off filtering. Type a value and press Enter:
Type text with no colon to search by Reference (the project's display name) — for example, typing
Website Localizationfinds every project whose title contains that text.Type
field:valueto search a specific field instead — for examplestatus:Approvedorname:B-26234.
This is fastest when you already know the exact detail you're searching for. For anything broader — multiple conditions at once, a date range, searching inside file content — use the full filter panel below.
Common filters
Click the filter icon to open the filter panel. It opens on the Common filters tab:
Name and Reference look similar but search two different fields: Reference matches the project's display title — the clickable blue name in the list — while Name matches its underlying system-generated code (shown as a small caption under the title, e.g.
B-26234-68405-FF71). If you're searching by the name you gave the project, use Reference.Organization and Organizational Unit search by the client account and the specific unit within it that the project belongs to.
Project Manager and Contact Person search by the users assigned to those two roles on the project.
Status lets you select one or more of: Draft, Pending, Approved, Delivered, Invoiced, and Continuous.
Creation Date filters by a start and/or end date.
Fill in whichever fields you need — you don't need to use all of them — then click Apply Filters.
Advanced filters
Switch to the Advanced tab for options aimed at finding a project by what's inside its files, rather than by its metadata:
File name matches the name of a file attached to the project.
Source file content searches the actual source text inside a project's files — useful when you remember a phrase from the content but not which project it was in.
Organization and Organizational Unit are repeated here for convenience, so you can combine a content search with a client scope without switching tabs.
Reviewing and clearing applied filters
Once applied, each active filter shows as a badge next to the search box, and a Clear all button appears to remove every filter at once:
To change or remove a single filter rather than all of them, reopen the filter panel, adjust that field, and click Apply Filters again.
Saving a filter for reuse
If you find yourself applying the same combination of filters repeatedly — your own active projects, a specific client's Approved jobs, and so on — save it instead of rebuilding it each time. Next to the search box, use the Save Filter and Saved Filters controls:
With a filter combination applied, click the Save Filter icon, give it a name, and confirm — it's now available from the Saved Filters dropdown any time.
Select a saved filter from the Saved Filters dropdown to apply it immediately, replacing whatever filters are currently active.
To remove one you no longer need, select it and use the Delete Filter option next to the dropdown.
